WHISK & PIN
The Whisk & Pin mission is to produce products that are premium grade and absolutely delicious, with a focus on social and economic sustainability, using non-GM Australian wholesome ingredients wherever possible,
They source the very best quality ingredients in their most natural state possible - from the wholesome oats straight from the paddock in South Australia, to the sun-kissed Queensland dried fruit used in all their gourmet mueslis.
As a hand-made gourmet food producer, they have very little machinery, creating minimal consumption of energy & environmental impact.
I have travelled many times with a few packets of their yum rosemary & sea salt cashews stashed in my luggage so that I can enjoy a little gourmet moment even when stuck in transit lounges bereft of gluten free options!
Mother Megs is dedicated to the art of traditional baking, using old family recipes to produce a delicious range of biscuits, fruit cakes and plum puddings, including the incredibly yum biscotti we include in our hampers.
Founded in 1992 by Kay Wormwell, Mother Megs is named after her grandmother. They continue to remain loyal to these unique traditional family recipes, using traditional baking techniques and premium ingredients. With no added preservatives and stylish packaging, they strive to be regarded as the premium brand in their class.
Mother Megs is another local brand, located in the heart of the Darling Downs, Toowoomba, Queensland.
BRAMBLE & HEDGE
I fell in love with their gorgeous nougat the first time I came across it in the Byron Bay hinterland at the iconic Harvest Deli, and was so excited to have the opportunity to share it with gluten free foodies around Australia in my hampers.
Bramble & Hedge’s beautiful confectionery creations are inspired by the ancient art of confectionery making witnessed by the founder/owner on a working trip to Beirut Lebanon.
They use exceptional ingredients – a celebration of some of the world’s finest artisans - to handcraft delicious ‘works of art’ in Melbourne, specialising in making handmade nougat, peanut brittle & chocolate honeycomb.
RANDOM HARVEST GOURMET
Random Harvest Gourmet is proud of a long-standing reputation of excellence and is recognised as one of Australia's leading creators of fine foods and food for gifts. They focus on stringent quality control systems, quality ingredients and superior, award-winning packaging design.
They have an extensive range of gourmet products, using traditional recipes with a unique twist, and we love that they made a decision right from the beginning to make all of their products gluten free. They are an Australian family owned & manufactured company.
CHARLIES ARTISAN COOKIES
Charlies Cookies are committed to making sure their cookies are the freshest and tastiest every time, so they use only premium ingredients from ingredient suppliers who care about food as much as they do. Everything at Charlie’s is made from scratch recipes.
They are proud to be a 100% Australian made and owned food company with a heart, donate at least $50,000 worth of cookies to community groups, fundraising events and other Australian and indigenous initiatives looking for support and exposure. We love this. Oh, and they have won countless national food awards!
Iron Pot is another wonderful Aussie family company committed to producing high quality food products, and making sure they look after the gluten free community while they’re at it! Their products are all natural, free from preservatives or additives, and made from locally grown ingredients.
Discovering their little chocolate topped gingerbread biscuits was a very good gluten free foodie moment. Oh my word. How yum are they?! I have one friend who is seriously currently addicted to them.
Owners Lea Hine and Mark Warburton make every delicious morsel by hand. Food is their craft and each bite has been cooked in small batches from a custom-built commercial kitchen tucked amongst the lush hills near Kyogle in Northern New South Wales. They personally select produce from a network of trusted growers and suppliers.
THE PLANT KITCHEN
From a humble home base the super addictive, little balls of gluten free & vegan goodness, POG BALLS were created. Slowly they made their way into an increasing number of independent grocers around Brisbane, which is where I discovered them. Now stocked nationally, I am super proud to help share these treats with the gluten free & vegan communities through our hampers. They have a nutty/peanut butter & rice crisp base, and come covered in the smoothest vegan chocolate, milk, white or dark.
Roza’s Gourmet lovingly creates an extensive range of gourmet sauces, dips, soups, bone broth and crackers. Their range of over 50 all natural and gluten free gourmet products are available in premium boutique retailers Australia-wide. I absolutely wish I could include more of their products in my hampers…I love how committed they are to creating gourmet food products that are not only gluten free, but also dairy free and vegan. How helpful is that?! Love them.
Their story began in 1991 as a simple way for the then-housewife Roza to indulge her passion for cooking, but quickly became a burgeoning business, as an increasing customer base took pride in purchasing Roza’s Gourmet sauces from the end of her driveway.
Over 28 years later, Roza’s philosophy that “the right sauce can turn any meal into a feast” has grown into small business success story, a testament to her fresh, natural approach to food.
One of the brands born from the iconic & much loved Byron Bay Cookie Co., Falwasser Crispbreads have become a gourmet staple for cheese boards nationwide. And we are so so happy that their gluten free version is true to the original crisp texture of the regular version [*not cardboard!]. It was a no brainer to include it in our entertaining range of hampers, and gift the gluten free foodie community the ability to take their gluten free grazing boards to the next level...no one will know the difference!
I have to be honest, I fell in love with the Tridosha brand as soon as I saw their gorgeously packaged tea at a foodie market in the Byron Bay hinterland. Hearing their story as a business then just confirmed for me why I needed to include their tea in my hampers!
Tridosha “Royal Tea” uses only organic ingredients, tea leaves from Fair Trade plantations and plantations that are carbon neutral. They aim to present awareness through respectfully acknowledging the human energy used in production. And all Tridosha products are hand blended and packaged in Australia. Their beautifully designed organic loose-leaf black and green teas are elegantly packaged, making them the perfect inclusion in our gift hampers. Who doesn't need a glamorous tea moment!
